Trust means the world

To be

Slow to respond

Slow to disappoint

Slow to anger.

I vowed for these reactions

I vowed to be a turtle

Bright in my shell

Protective of what matters the most

Wearing my battles 

Whether win or lost

Trust is not what I give freely

Born alone to survive alone?

Those I come across see I'm alive

But what design do you leave on my life

Do you allow me to be out to see the sun

Or do I go in where you can't come in?
